B.W.Muncy, Inc. is a company formed in 1997 to market Muncy’s Plat Pronto deed plotting and land surveying analysis software. Muncy’s Plat Pronto was originally written to plot old deeds. Over the years, the software has evolved into the package you see today.

The president and software developer, Bennett "Ben" Muncy II, is a Civil Engineer, Mining Engineer, Land Surveyor, and Software Engineer. He is licensed in Kentucky as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and a Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S).

Before college, Ben voluntarily served three years in the United States Army as a Vulcan-FAAR mechanic and technician. Under the GI Bill, he obtained a BS and MS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Since college, Ben has worked for state and local governments, consulting engineering firms, and software companies.

Most recently, Ben has spent close to 17 years writing and maintaining HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA software for Alliant Technologies in Louisville, KY. During his employment, he was one of the primary programmers on the team that developed the vector-based HMI software used to monitor and control the sorting system at UPS Worldport, the worldwide air hub for the United Parcel Service.
